We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our coffee shop team. Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established roast profiles and quality standards.
• Monitor roasting equipment and make adjustments to achieve consistent results.
• Evaluate roasted coffee through cupping and quality control procedures.
• Record roast data and maintain accurate production logs.
• Manage green coffee inventory and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Package, label, and prepare roasted coffee for retail and café use.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of roasting equipment.
• Work closely with the café team to develop seasonal and signature coffee offerings.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe roasting environment.
• Stay informed about industry trends and continuously improve roasting techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Coffee Roaster or in specialty coffee production is preferred.
• Strong understanding of coffee roasting principles, bean characteristics, and roast development.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot commercial roasting equipment.
• Familiarity with coffee cupping, flavour profiling, and quality assurance practices.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to lift and handle coffee sacks and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement.
