Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established roast profiles and quality standards.
• Monitor roasting equipment and make precise adjustments throughout the roasting process.
• Evaluate roasted coffee through regular cupping sessions and quality checks.
• Record roast data, production batches, and inventory accurately.
• Inspect green coffee beans for quality before roasting.
• Package roasted coffee while maintaining freshness and presentation standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of roasting equipment.
• Work closely with baristas and management to develop seasonal and signature coffee offerings.
• Monitor stock levels of green beans and roasting supplies.
• Follow food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Coffee Roaster or in coffee production is preferred.
• Strong understanding of coffee roasting techniques, roast profiles, and bean characteristics.
• Knowledge of coffee cupping and quality evaluation methods.
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial coffee roasting equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to lift coffee bags and work comfortably in a production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new roasting methods and industry trends.
