Coffee Brewer

Job Description

Our coffee shop is focused on serving well-crafted coffee with consistency, care, and attention to detail. We are seeking a skilled Coffee Brewer to join our team and take responsibility for preparing quality coffee, maintaining brewing standards, and creating a pleasant experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare brewed coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment, grinders, and related tools safely and efficiently.
• Measure coffee, water, temperature, grind size, and brewing time accurately to achieve consistent results.
• Monitor coffee quality throughout service and make adjustments when necessary.
• Keep the coffee preparation area, equipment, and work surfaces clean and organised.
• Assist with restocking coffee beans, milk, cups, syrups, and other beverage supplies.
• Interact professionally with customers, answer basic questions about coffee selections, and provide friendly service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures at all times.
• Support other coffee shop team members during busy periods and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Coffee Brewer, Barista, or in a similar coffee-focused role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
• Good understanding of grind adjustment, extraction, brewing ratios, and coffee equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
• Strong cleanliness, organisation, and time management skills.
• A certificate or training in coffee preparation, barista skills, or a related field is an advantage.
