Catering Assistant

Job Description

Join our restaurant team as a Catering Assistant and play an important role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food presentation, and values excellent customer service. You will support kitchen and service operations while helping maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation under the guidance of chefs.
• Prepare and arrange food for service and catering events.
• Set up and replenish food displays, buffets, and serving stations.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and catering equipment as required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
• Support the team during busy service periods and special events.
• Report stock shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant, Food Service Assistant, or in a similar restaurant role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Friendly attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
