Barista

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Barista to join our coffee shop team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values quality service, and takes pride in preparing outstanding beverages while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages to company standards.
• Welcome customers warmly and provide attentive, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently.
• Recommend menu items and promote seasonal beverages and food offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area, dining space, and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management of inventory shortages.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment setup and cleaning.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing food and beverage role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machines is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale system experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn new recipes, techniques, and service standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as required.
