Job Description

Our coffee shop is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista who takes pride in preparing quality beverages, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering outstanding service with every order.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages.
• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments.
• Recommend menu items and answer questions about beverages and food offerings.
• Ensure consistency in beverage preparation and presentation.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
• Restock ingredients, cups, and supplies as needed.
• Keep workstations, dining areas, and service counters clean and organised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role within a coffee shop or food service environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machines is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality.
• Good cash handling and basic point-of-sale system skills.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new recipes, techniques, and service standards.
