Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking an experienced and organised Banquet Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events. This role is ideal for a service-focused professional who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every event runs smoothly from preparation to completion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff before, during, and after events
• Coordinate event setup according to function sheets and client requirements
• Ensure dining areas, meeting rooms, and event spaces are prepared to the highest standards
• Monitor food and beverage service to ensure excellent guest satisfaction
• Brief team members on event schedules, service expectations, and assigned duties
• Work closely with the kitchen, front office, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless operations
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Inspect banquet equipment, furniture, and table settings before each event
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout all function areas
• Assist with inventory control and ensure banquet supplies are adequately stocked
• Train, coach, and motivate banquet team members
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel operating procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising banquet, events, or food and beverage operations in a hotel
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to coordinate multiple events while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of banquet service standards and event operations
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Basic computer skills for scheduling, reporting, and event coordination
