Banquet Manager

Job Description

Our hotel is committed to delivering polished service, memorable guest experiences, and well-coordinated events. We are seeking a capable and organised Banquet Manager to lead our banquet operations, oversee event execution, and ensure every function meets high standards of service, presentation, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise weddings, conferences, meetings, receptions, and other banquet events.
• Lead banquet staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, events, housekeeping, and front office teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor food and beverage service to maintain quality and presentation standards.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and assign duties to team members.
• Manage event schedules, room layouts, equipment, and service requirements.
• Handle guest requests and resolve service concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor staffing levels, inventory, equipment, and operational costs.
• Ensure banquet areas comply with cleanliness, safety, and service standards.
• Review events with the team and identify opportunities to improve future functions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in banquet, events, or hotel operations, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service procedures and event coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong problem-solving and guest-service abilities.
• Good understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and service standards.
• Proficiency with basic scheduling, reporting, and event management tools.
