Our restaurant is seeking an experienced and highly organised Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of private dining events, celebrations, corporate functions, and special occasions. Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage banquet and private dining events from booking to completion
• Supervise banquet staff, ensuring excellent service and professional presentation
• Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate menus, timing, and event requirements
• Meet with clients to discuss event details, preferences, and special requests
• Prepare event schedules, staffing plans, and room layouts
• Monitor event setup and breakdown to ensure efficiency and quality
• Maintain inventory of banquet equipment, linens, tableware, and supplies
• Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally during events
• Assist in managing banquet budgets, labour costs, and operational expenses

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience as a Banquet Manager, Banquet Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience coordinating multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
• Knowledge of banquet operations, event planning, and food and beverage service
• Proficiency with scheduling, event management, and point of sale systems is an advantage
