Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of a busy and vibrant restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, working closely with teams, and ensuring guests consistently receive a high-quality dining experience.

In this position, you will work alongside the Restaurant Manager to oversee service delivery, coordinate staff, and maintain smooth front-of-house operations. You will play an important role in setting the tone for service, resolving issues promptly, and keeping both guests and team members satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations
• Supervise front-of-house staff and ensure excellent service standards
• Assist in staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
• Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints professionally
• Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and overall ambiance of the restaurant
• Help maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers when needed
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and operational goals
• Step in to manage shifts in the absence of the Restaurant Manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of restaurant operations, including service flow and staff management
