Assistant Restaurant Manager

A busy restaurant is seeking a confident and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to help oversee daily operations while delivering exceptional service and supporting a high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, maintaining excellent standards, and creating a positive dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations
• Supervise, motivate, and coach front and back-of-house team members
• Deliver outstanding customer service and promptly resolve guest concerns
• Assist with staff scheduling, attendance, and shift coordination
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety procedures are consistently followed
• Help manage stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment
• Assist with cash handling, sales reconciliation, and daily reporting
• Train new employees and support ongoing team development
• Maintain compliance with company policies and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a restaurant
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• Good organisational and multitasking skills
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems is an advantage
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and operational best practices
