About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Cafe Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high service standards, and support the growth and development of the team. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency while ensuring customers receive outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the daily management of cafe operations.
Supervise, motivate, and support team members during shifts.
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
Help achieve sales targets and improve operational performance.
Prepare daily reports and assist with cash handling procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a cafe, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with inventory management and cash handling.
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities, and remain composed under pressure.
