Our hotel is committed to providing guests with clean, comfortable, and well-maintained surroundings throughout their stay. We are seeking a dependable Assistant Housekeeper to support the housekeeping team in maintaining high standards across guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces. The successful candidate will help coordinate daily cleaning activities, monitor room presentation, and ensure that guests consistently experience a welcoming and orderly hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeper with the daily coordination of housekeeping operations.
• Support the cleaning and inspection of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
• Allocate tasks to housekeeping staff and follow up on completed assignments.
• Check rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and required amenities meet hotel standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost property promptly.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and request replenishment when necessary.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records and room status updates.
• Promote safe working practices and proper use of cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a hotel or similar accommodation setting.
• Experience supervising or coordinating a housekeeping team is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, room presentation, and hygiene standards.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to inspect work carefully and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Clear communication and a professional approach to guest service.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• A certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, or a related field is an advantage.
• Knowledge of housekeeping software or hotel property management systems is beneficial.
