Assistant Bar Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a confident and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to support daily bar operations, maintain excellent service standards, and help drive sales in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise bartenders and bar support staff during shifts.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and promptly resolve guest concerns.
• Help manage inventory, stock levels, and beverage ordering.
• Monitor product quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Support staff training, coaching, and performance development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Prepare shift reports and assist with sales tracking and stock reconciliation.
• Help create promotions and beverage offerings that enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming bar environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a bar or similar beverage-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage service techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control.
• Basic understanding of cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
