Food Runner

Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for a dependable and energetic Food Runner to support the service team and help ensure every dish reaches the correct table promptly and professionally. The successful candidate will work closely with servers and kitchen staff, contribute to an organised dining experience, and maintain high standards throughout each service period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to the correct tables efficiently and safely.
• Verify dishes against orders before taking them to guests.
• Assist servers with table service during busy periods.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and restaurant teams about orders and special requests.
• Maintain clean, organised service and staging areas.
• Handle plates and serving equipment carefully while following food safety standards.
• Assist with clearing tables and resetting them when required.
• Respond promptly to guest and team requests.
• Support smooth restaurant operations during peak service hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or food service environment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused attitude.
• Good physical stamina for standing and moving throughout shifts.
