Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for an energetic and dependable Food Runner to support smooth service and ensure every dish reaches the correct table promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate is attentive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining excellent standards of presentation and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly and accurately.
• Check dishes for proper presentation and completeness before delivery.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout service areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and restaurant procedures.
• Respond promptly to service requests and support the wider restaurant team.
• Handle dishes and equipment carefully to prevent damage or spills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or similar environment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
• Physically able to stand and move for extended periods.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
