Event Server

Job Description

Our hotel is looking for a friendly, attentive, and service-focused Event Server to join our events team. The successful candidate will help create a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests by providing efficient table service, maintaining event areas, and responding promptly to guest requests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hotel environment and takes pride in delivering professional service during conferences, weddings, banquets, private functions, and other events.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and service stations before events.
• Welcome guests and provide attentive food and beverage service throughout events.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver items promptly.
• Clear tables, replace used items, and maintain clean service areas.
• Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and presentation when required.
• Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and special requirements.
• Coordinate with kitchen and event teams to ensure timely service.
• Follow hotel standards for food safety, hygiene, and guest service.
• Assist with event breakdown and return service areas to proper condition.
• Handle glassware, crockery, cutlery, and service equipment carefully.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Event Server, Waiter, Banquet Server, or in a similar hotel or restaurant role is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Ability to remain organised and composed during busy events.
• Professional appearance and courteous manner.
• Good teamwork and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and handle service-related tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
• Food safety or service-related training is an advantage.
• A relevant certificate, diploma, or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food Service, or a related field is an advantage.
