Event Server

Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for an attentive and energetic Event Server to join our team and help deliver smooth, memorable dining experiences during private functions, celebrations, corporate gatherings, and special events. The successful candidate will be confident working in busy environments, understand the importance of excellent table service, and take pride in ensuring every guest receives prompt and courteous attention.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with seating during restaurant events and functions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve them efficiently.
• Set up tables, dining areas, service stations, and event spaces before functions.
• Clear and reset tables throughout the event while maintaining a clean environment.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide professional customer service.
• Coordinate with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure timely food delivery.
• Monitor guest needs and communicate special requests or concerns to supervisors.
• Follow restaurant standards for food safety, hygiene, and responsible service.
• Assist with closing duties and restoring event areas after functions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, waiter, event server, or in a similar restaurant role is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain organised and professional during busy events.
• Good knowledge of table service and restaurant procedures.
• Friendly, attentive, and guest-focused approach.
• Physical ability to stand and move for extended periods and carry service items safely.
• Food safety or customer service training is an advantage.
