Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety, and efficiency of all building systems and facilities. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can coordinate maintenance operations, lead a skilled team, and ensure guests and employees enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead, train, and schedule the maintenance team to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee the maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify repair needs and implement timely solutions.
• Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and complies with safety regulations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and monitor inventory of tools and spare parts.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and minimize operational disruptions.
• Support renovation and improvement projects while ensuring minimal impact on hotel operations.
• Promote workplace safety by enforcing maintenance procedures and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with department managers to address facility-related concerns and improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in maintenance management within a hotel or similar property environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a maintenance team.
• Excellent troubleshooting, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractor relationships.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Professional certifications in engineering, facilities maintenance, or safety management are an advantage.
