Do you have a passion for coffee and an appreciation for the art of roasting? We are seeking a dedicated Coffee Roaster to join our coffee shop team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys experimenting with flavor profiles and ensuring every batch of coffee meets exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Roast coffee beans according to established profiles and quality specifications.
• Monitor roasting equipment and make adjustments to achieve desired results.
• Evaluate coffee through cupping and tasting sessions.
• Maintain accurate roasting records and inventory levels.
• Package and label roasted coffee products.
• Ensure roasting equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
• Assist with sourcing, receiving, and storing green coffee beans.
• Collaborate with the café team on new blends and seasonal offerings.
• Follow food safety and workplace health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in coffee roasting, specialty coffee, or food production is preferred.
• Knowledge of roasting techniques and coffee flavor development.
• Ability to operate and maintain roasting equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift and move bags of coffee beans when required.
• Passion for specialty coffee and continuous learning.
• Certification in coffee roasting or related coffee training is an advantage.
