Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-driven Coffee Roaster to join our coffee shop team. This role is perfect for someone who loves the craft behind every cup, enjoys working with raw beans, and takes pride in developing rich, consistent, and high-quality roast profiles. You will play a key role in shaping the flavor identity of our coffee, from sourcing and roasting to quality control and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Roast green coffee beans to achieve consistent flavor profiles and desired roast levels
• Monitor roasting equipment and make real-time adjustments for quality control
• Conduct regular cupping sessions to evaluate flavor, aroma, and consistency
• Maintain roasting logs and track batch performance
• Ensure proper storage and handling of green and roasted beans
• Collaborate with the barista team to align roast profiles with brewing methods
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the roasting area
• Assist in sourcing and selecting green coffee beans when needed

Qualifications

• Strong interest in coffee roasting, coffee origins, and flavor development
• Previous experience in coffee roasting or specialty coffee production is an advantage
• Understanding of roast levels, bean development, and cupping techniques
• Ability to work with roasting equipment and follow technical instructions
• Good sensory skills, especially taste and aroma recognition
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work independently and manage production schedules
• Willingness to learn and grow in specialty coffee craft
