Our restaurant is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Chef to join our kitchen team. This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to develop professional culinary skills while gaining practical experience in a busy restaurant environment. You will work alongside experienced chefs, learn established kitchen procedures, and contribute to preparing quality dishes for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across workstations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage procedures.
• Support stock rotation and minimise food waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Learn and apply different cooking techniques.
• Assist with maintaining consistent food quality during service.

Qualifications

• Culinary training, catering qualification, or relevant kitchen education is preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong interest in cooking and professional food preparation.
• Willingness to learn and accept guidance from senior chefs.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organisation, and detail.
