Table Attendant

Job Description

Great dining experiences are created through attentive service, teamwork, and genuine care for every guest. We are looking for a friendly and dependable Table Attendant to join our restaurant. In this role, you will help maintain a clean and welcoming dining area, support the service team, and ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant visit from the moment they are seated until they leave.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining tables before guests arrive by arranging table settings and ensuring cleanliness
• Clear used plates, cutlery, and glassware promptly during and after meals
• Refill water glasses and assist with serving food and beverages when required
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area throughout service
• Reset tables quickly and accurately for incoming guests
• Support servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
• Restock napkins, condiments, and other dining essentials
• Respond politely to guest requests and direct enquiries to the appropriate team member
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with opening and closing dining area duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer-facing role is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred
