Sound Technician

Job Description

Do you have a passion for live music, exceptional audio quality, and creating memorable entertainment experiences? We are looking for a skilled Sound Technician to join our dynamic bar team. In this role, you will ensure that every performance, event, and playlist delivers outstanding sound while maintaining all audio equipment in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor sound systems for live performances, DJs, and special events.
• Conduct sound checks and adjust audio levels for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical audio issues promptly.
• Maintain, inspect, and perform routine servicing of audio equipment.
• Coordinate with performers, DJs, and event organizers to meet technical requirements.
• Manage microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, and related equipment.
• Ensure cables and equipment are safely installed and stored.
• Monitor sound quality throughout events and make necessary adjustments.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and report equipment faults.
• Follow venue safety procedures and protect equipment from damage.

Qualifications:

• Diploma, certificate, or vocational training in Audio Engineering, Sound Technology, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Sound Technician in a bar, nightclub, entertainment venue, or live event setting.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and speaker systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Familiarity with live sound reinforcement and audio signal flow.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift and set up audio equipment when required.
