Sound Technician

Job Description

Great nights in a bar need more than good drinks and a lively crowd. Our Sound Technician will be responsible for keeping the music, microphones, speakers, and other audio equipment performing at their best. We are looking for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, understands sound, and can keep the atmosphere flowing without missing a beat.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor sound equipment for live performances, DJs, events, and daily bar operations.
• Perform sound checks and adjust audio levels for clear, balanced sound.
• Troubleshoot microphones, speakers, mixers, cables, and other audio equipment.
• Coordinate with DJs, performers, hosts, and bar staff during events.
• Maintain and safely store sound equipment and accessories.
• Respond quickly to technical issues during busy periods.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, and basic maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures when handling electrical and audio equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Music Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Sound Technician, Audio Technician, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and audio systems.
• Ability to identify and resolve common sound and equipment issues.
• Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused when handling technical problems.
