Job Description
A refined dining experience is only complete with the perfect glass in hand. We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to elevate our restaurant’s wine program, guide guests through exceptional pairings, and bring depth to every dining moment. This role is ideal for someone who understands that wine is not just a beverage but a story, a culture, and an experience worth curating.
Responsibilities
- Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list aligned with the restaurant’s cuisine and concept
- Recommend wine pairings to guests based on their meals and preferences
- Manage wine inventory, storage, and cellar organization with precision
- Train and support service staff on wine knowledge and pairing basics
- Conduct regular tastings and update selections based on seasonality and trends
- Engage with guests in a warm, confident, and informative manner
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers and distributors
- Ensure proper wine service standards are consistently upheld
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a senior wine service role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, grape varieties, and vintages
- Certification in wine studies or hospitality training is an advantage
- Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability in cellar management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fine dining environment
- A genuine passion for hospitality, storytelling, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential
