Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises regularly to prevent security breaches and unauthorized access.
• Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment.
• Control access points and verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and guest concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident, accident, and daily activity reports.
• Assist during emergency evacuations and follow established safety procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential security and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with management and emergency services when required.
• Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring suspicious activities.
• Provide professional assistance and directions to guests while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security, safety, law enforcement, military, or related role is preferred.
• Valid security certification or licence, where required by applicable regulations.
• Good understanding of security procedures, emergency response, and incident reporting.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV monitoring and access control systems is an advantage.
• First Aid and CPR certification is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
