Job Description

Our hotel is committed to providing guests and employees with a secure, orderly, and welcoming environment. We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will monitor hotel premises, respond to security concerns, enforce safety procedures, and help protect guests, staff, facilities, and property.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol guest areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted sections of the hotel.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Control access to staff-only and restricted areas.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and security alerts.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, visitors, and security activities.
  • Assist guests and employees during emergencies while maintaining professional conduct.
  • Enforce hotel security policies and report breaches appropriately.
  • Coordinate with management and emergency services when serious incidents occur.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety and security risks.
  • Support the safe handling and reporting of lost property.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Security training or certification from a recognised institution is preferred.
  • Previous experience in hotel security, private security, law enforcement, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
  • Good physical fitness and alertness.
  • Basic knowledge of emergency procedures, access control, and incident reporting.
