Restaurant Floor Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Restaurant Floor Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and passionate about maintaining high service standards while creating a welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house restaurant operations during service.
• Lead, motivate, and support servers, hosts, and other floor staff.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, presentation, and overall atmosphere.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues efficiently.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and smooth communication.
• Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Monitor compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Track inventory for front-of-house supplies and communicate ordering needs.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Experience with scheduling, staff training, and performance management.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
