Quality Control Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Officer to help maintain the highest standards across our restaurant operations. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food quality, cleanliness, consistency, and compliance with established procedures. You will play a key role in monitoring daily operations, supporting food safety practices, and ensuring every meal and service meets our quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
• Verify that food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients upon delivery and during storage.
• Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and corrective action logs.
• Investigate quality issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Work closely with kitchen and restaurant teams to improve operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and relevant food safety regulations.
• Support staff training on quality assurance, hygiene, and best practices.
• Report quality concerns promptly to management and follow up on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Hospitality Management, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in quality control, food safety, or quality assurance within a restaurant, food service, or food production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety principles, hygiene standards, and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP and other food safety practices is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital record-keeping tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
