Public Relations Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a lively and confident Public Relations Officer to help shape how our café is seen, heard, and experienced by the public. This role is all about storytelling, building strong relationships, and making sure our café stays top of mind in the community for all the right reasons. If you enjoy connecting with people, creating engaging content, and turning everyday café moments into memorable experiences, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a positive public image for the café
• Develop and manage relationships with customers, media contacts, influencers, and community partners
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and brand activations
• Handle press releases, announcements, and public communications
• Manage the café’s social media presence and respond to public feedback in a professional manner
• Monitor public perception and suggest strategies for improvement
• Work closely with management to align branding and communication efforts
• Represent the café at events, tastings, and community engagements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confident, friendly, and approachable personality
• Good understanding of social media platforms and content trends
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision
• Creative thinking with strong attention to detail
• Experience in hospitality or lifestyle brands is an advantage
• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline preferred
