Procurement Officer

Job Description

A busy and fast-paced bar is looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure a reliable supply of quality products and operational materials. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has excellent negotiation skills, and is committed to maintaining cost efficiency while supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase beverages, food ingredients, bar supplies, equipment, and other operational items.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of procurement activities.
• Compare supplier quotations and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Track deliveries and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or damaged goods.
• Work closely with bar management to forecast purchasing requirements.
• Ensure purchased products meet quality standards and operational specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier databases.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably within a bar, restaurant, or similar environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Good understanding of inventory control and purchasing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience using inventory or procurement software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.
