Our restaurant is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support the kitchen by preparing ingredients and ensuring everything is ready for service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, follows food preparation standards, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, meats, seafood, and other ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Measure, portion, and label ingredients for daily service.
• Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks and food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Store food items properly while following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Receive and organize kitchen deliveries when required.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and keep workstations tidy throughout each shift.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
• Good understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to delivering high-quality food preparation.
