Job Description

A busy, fast-paced restaurant is looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to support the kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, values cleanliness, and takes pride in helping food come together smoothly before service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning as instructed
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Label and store ingredients properly to ensure freshness
• Support kitchen operations during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is an advantage
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
