Pizza Chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Mix, proof, and stretch pizza dough to achieve consistent results.
• Prepare fresh sauces, toppings, and other ingredients daily.
• Ensure pizzas are presented attractively and served promptly.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for optimal quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and pizza preparation area.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages promptly.
• Minimize food waste through proper storage and portion control.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Assist with menu development by suggesting new pizza recipes and seasonal specials.
• Support other kitchen duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a café, restaurant, or pizzeria.
• Strong knowledge of pizza dough preparation, baking techniques, and ingredient handling.
• Experience using commercial pizza ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• A positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
