Parking Attendant

Job Description

A restaurant is seeking a dependable and courteous Parking Attendant to manage guest parking and help create a smooth arrival and departure experience. The successful candidate will maintain an organised parking area, assist guests with directions, and handle vehicles responsibly while providing attentive service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests arriving at the restaurant and provide courteous assistance.
• Direct vehicles to available parking spaces efficiently.
• Monitor the parking area and maintain an orderly flow of vehicles.
• Assist guests with locating their vehicles when required.
• Handle vehicle keys securely according to restaurant procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of parked and retrieved vehicles where applicable.
• Report damaged vehicles, safety concerns, or unusual incidents promptly.
• Keep the parking area clear of unnecessary obstructions.
• Support guests with basic directions and information about the restaurant.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant staff during busy service periods.
• Follow all safety procedures when moving or positioning vehicles.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Parking Attendant, Valet Attendant, or in a customer-facing role is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence with a safe driving record where vehicle movement is required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong awareness of surroundings and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy when handling guest vehicles and belongings.
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and respectful attitude.
