A well-established restaurant is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pantry Chef to join our kitchen team. Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, and other pantry menu items.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated using food safety standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place for kitchen operations.
• Monitor pantry inventory and report stock shortages promptly.
• Keep the pantry station clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout service.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of customer orders.
• Minimise food waste through proper handling and storage of ingredients.
• Support other kitchen sections when required during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pantry Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Good knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and food presentation.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately.
• Passion for preparing fresh, high-quality dishes and delivering excellent dining experiences.
