Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, dressings, and other pantry items according to recipes.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for service.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the kitchen team when replenishment is required.
• Label, date, and rotate food items using proper storage practices.
• Keep the pantry station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
• Support other kitchen sections when needed to ensure efficient service.
• Minimize food waste through careful preparation and inventory management.
• Assist with receiving and inspecting food deliveries for quality and freshness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pantry Chef, Garde Manger, Cold Kitchen Chef, or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and ingredient handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining quality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a kitchen team.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
