Job Description

Great coffee starts with a great customer experience, and we are looking for an energetic Order Taker to join our coffee shop team. If you enjoy meeting people, staying organised, and keeping things moving during busy hours, you could be the perfect fit for this role.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers warmly and take their coffee and food orders accurately.
• Listen carefully to customer preferences and answer questions about menu items.
• Process orders and payments efficiently.
• Communicate orders clearly to baristas and kitchen staff.
• Keep the ordering area clean, organised, and inviting.
• Handle customer requests or concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Help maintain a smooth and friendly service during busy periods.
• Promote special offers and popular menu items when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, retail, or customer service role is an advantage.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Basic numeracy and confidence handling payments.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused personality.
• Good attention to detail when recording orders.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
