Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Answer menu-related questions and provide recommendations when requested.
• Enter customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system promptly and correctly.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
• Confirm special requests, dietary requirements, and modifications with guests.
• Handle telephone orders, takeaway requests, and online order inquiries where applicable.
• Resolve minor customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotional offers.
• Assist with billing inquiries and ensure accurate order records.
• Keep the order-taking area clean, organized, and ready for service.

Qualifications:

• Diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Customer Service, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record customer orders.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems are advantageous.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
