Order Taker

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Order Taker to join our cafe team. If you enjoy working in a lively environment, connecting with customers, and making sure every order is captured accurately and delivered smoothly, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and take food and drink orders in person or over the counter
• Accurately record orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar team
• Answer basic questions about menu items, ingredients, and availability
• Ensure special requests and dietary needs are properly noted
• Handle order adjustments politely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized ordering station
• Support smooth daily operations during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or customer service role is an advantage
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Friendly, calm, and professional attitude under pressure
• Good attention to detail to avoid order mistakes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills are helpful
• Team spirit and willingness to support colleagues when needed
