Maintenance Technician

Job Description

A busy and welcoming restaurant is looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our operations running smoothly behind the scenes. If you are practical, hands-on, and enjoy solving problems before they become disruptions, this role is for you. You will play a key part in ensuring that all equipment, utilities, and facilities are in excellent working condition so both staff and guests enjoy a safe, comfortable environment every day.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of restaurant equipment, fixtures, and fittings
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical faults
• Ensure kitchen equipment such as ovens, fridges, and grills are functioning properly
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from staff and management
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and breakdowns
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all technical work areas
• Keep simple records of repairs, servicing, and parts used

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, technical repair, or facility support
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and independently
• Good understanding of safety procedures and hygiene standards
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new equipment systems
