Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A hotel is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering, repair, and facility operations. The role focuses on ensuring uninterrupted functionality of building systems, guest comfort, and safety compliance across all hotel areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations across the hotel premises
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to urgent repair issues and ensure swift resolution
• Manage maintenance teams, contractors, and external service providers
• Monitor facility safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing
• Oversee inventory and procurement of maintenance tools and spare parts
• Conduct routine inspections to identify risks or repair needs early
• Support energy efficiency and cost-control initiatives within the property
• Ensure guest areas remain fully operational and visually well-maintained

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in hotel or large commercial facility maintenance supervision
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance schematics
• Experience managing maintenance teams and external contractors
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental compliance standards
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations effectively
