Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A busy and customer-focused restaurant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the facility and its equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can lead maintenance operations, minimize downtime, and ensure all systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for restaurant equipment and facilities.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate external contractors when necessary.
• Inspect electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and refrigeration systems regularly.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and procurement of supplies and spare parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and service logs.
• Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within hospitality or food service operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Experience managing maintenance teams and external service providers.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and budgeting.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
