Maintenance Manager

A vibrant and well-loved cafe is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Manager to ensure all equipment, facilities, and systems run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in keeping things in top condition, and can respond quickly to operational needs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of cafe equipment, including coffee machines, ovens, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify repair needs and prevent breakdowns
• Coordinate and supervise repairs, servicing, and installations
• Manage relationships with external technicians and maintenance vendors
• Ensure safety, hygiene, and operational standards are consistently met
• Maintain maintenance logs and report issues to management promptly
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools
• Respond quickly to urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a similar technical role
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Experience working in a hospitality or food service environment is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Technical certification or vocational training is a plus
