Maintenance Manager

Job Description

There’s a lot that keeps a café running smoothly beyond great coffee and friendly service. We’re looking for a dependable Maintenance Manager who takes pride in keeping everything working, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff. In this role, you’ll be the person who makes sure the café environment stays in top shape, from equipment performance to building upkeep. You’ll work closely with the management team to prevent issues before they happen and respond quickly when they do.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and routine maintenance of café equipment, furniture, and facilities
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure safety and operational standards are met
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues where possible
• Coordinate with external technicians and service providers when specialized repairs are needed
• Maintain maintenance logs and track repair schedules and equipment servicing
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory of maintenance tools and supplies
• Support the café team during urgent operational issues

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a similar hands-on role
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Good communication skills for coordinating with staff and contractors
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work in a busy environment
