Job Description

A lively restaurant kitchen is looking for a dependable and passionate Line Cook to join the team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on cooking, working in a team, and keeping quality high even during busy service hours.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Set up and stock assigned stations with necessary supplies before service
  • Maintain speed and consistency during peak hours without compromising quality
  • Follow kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling standards at all times
  • Assist with basic prep work including chopping, portioning, and marinating
  • Communicate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff during service
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully functional throughout shifts
  • Support inventory checks and proper storage of ingredients

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction from senior chefs
  • Food safety awareness or basic hygiene training is an advantage
