Job Description
A lively restaurant kitchen is looking for a dependable and passionate Line Cook to join the team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on cooking, working in a team, and keeping quality high even during busy service hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock assigned stations with necessary supplies before service
- Maintain speed and consistency during peak hours without compromising quality
- Follow kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling standards at all times
- Assist with basic prep work including chopping, portioning, and marinating
- Communicate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff during service
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully functional throughout shifts
- Support inventory checks and proper storage of ingredients
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
- Willingness to learn and take instruction from senior chefs
- Food safety awareness or basic hygiene training is an advantage
