Responsibilities

• Supervise the hotel pool and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing rescue assistance when required.
• Administer first aid and CPR until additional medical support arrives.
• Conduct routine inspections of the pool, safety equipment, and surrounding facilities.
• Maintain accurate incident, accident, and daily activity records.
• Monitor water conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
• Ensure lifesaving equipment is clean, functional, and readily accessible.
• Assist guests with pool-related enquiries while delivering excellent customer service.
• Support the cleanliness and overall presentation of the pool area.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognised training provider.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
• Previous experience as a lifeguard in a hotel, resort, leisure facility, or aquatic centre is an advantage.
• Strong swimming, rescue, and emergency response skills.
• Sound knowledge of pool safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Excellent observation skills and the ability to remain alert throughout shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional appearance with a courteous and approachable attitude.
