Laundry Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a Laundry Supervisor to join our hotel team and keep daily laundry operations running smoothly. If you are organised, hands-on, and good at leading people while maintaining high standards, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the laundry team.
• Monitor the washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hotel linens.
• Inspect laundry items to ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper presentation.
• Manage laundry supplies, detergents, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Schedule staff duties and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
• Train team members on laundry procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
• Identify damaged or worn-out items and report them for replacement or repair.
• Maintain accurate records of laundry volumes, supplies, and equipment issues.
• Ensure laundry areas and equipment remain clean, organised, and safe.
• Work closely with housekeeping and other hotel departments to meet daily linen requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, Laundry Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel laundry or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Good understanding of fabric care, stain removal, and laundry chemicals.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and train a team effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
