Laundry Supervisor

Job Description

Our hotel is committed to maintaining exceptional standards across every guest experience, with cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency at the heart of our daily operations. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to oversee laundry activities, coordinate team members, and ensure that linens, uniforms, towels, and other hotel fabrics are consistently processed to the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laundry operations and allocate duties among laundry team members.
• Monitor the washing, drying, pressing, folding, and storage of hotel linen and uniforms.
• Inspect finished laundry to ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper presentation.
• Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, usage, damaged items, and replacements.
• Ensure laundry equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the appropriate use of detergents, cleaning products, and other supplies.
• Train, guide, and evaluate laundry staff to maintain consistent performance.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to meet linen requirements.
• Identify damaged or worn items and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Enforce workplace safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures within the laundry area.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with laundry supply ordering when required.
• Address operational issues promptly and maintain an organised laundry environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, Laundry Management, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in hotel laundry operations, with previous supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, fabric care, and cleaning procedures.
• Good understanding of linen control, inventory management, and quality standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.
